Today, our beloved Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Homer, passed away VERY suddenly. He was just fine this morning, but at around midday he collapsed. Parents rushed him to the vets where they battled for six hours to save him, but at 5PM we got the call that he had passed away. Vet suspects it was a severe bowel infection. We had absolutely no idea he was so sick. Just yesterday he was bounding around in the snow with his sister. Now he's gone. I'm in utter shock.

Rest in peace, buddy.

So sorry!
I had a Staffie for many years. They're great dog's and as tough as nails...He could have been sick, and still just went about his business. They're very good about hiding their pain. My girl was loyal, gentle and lovable...I feel your pain!

I know losing a pet you've had for so long like is a feeling words cannot alleviate but you have to understand that you gave him a fantastic life for 10 whole years, something so precious. The fact that he barely noticed the discomfort just shows how much more spending time with you and his family meant then something like pain.

Very sorry for your loss.

My husky boy is about to turn 10 and I am dreading the day as it comes inevitably close. Thank god he is healthy as an ox and still drives me crazy with his extra energy but still...
