So I'm on craigslist today and this is a post I responded to immediately:

"A neonate female Jungle Carpet Python. She has a beautiful and bright yellow and black markings. She eats 2 F/T pinkie mice every week and she eats well! I just got her from reptile expo in NH on October 3rd. The reason why I can't keep her is because she is very aggrestive and she bites. I can not handle her since I am not experienced with aggrestive and biter snakes. I am aware that neonates are nippy and this snake will try to strike at you every time which is too much for me to handle. She will need someone who are experienced with nippy and aggrestive snakes. I paid $125 for her and I am only asking for $85 dollars for rehome fee."

We are actually talking right now about a trade I'm going to give this person my BRB for their 'aggressive' jungle carpet python lol.

As you can see this person got the snake on the 3rd of this month *and today is the 8th they didn't even give it a full week. This is why everyone *need to do a lot of research before aquiring any animal. One thing I'm happy about is that this person 'knew' right away that this species of snake wasn't for them before it grew too big and became a sad news story.

So today the lady with the jungle carpet came by and it turns out to be a neonate still on pinkies. I haven't done those since June lol. Guess I'll be getting back into them for a few months until I get this girl on small mice.*

She's very nippy but the two I got as juveniles from Will Bird my male/female theyve prepared for the bites/nips that this one now gives me. So while she was checking out the subadult BRAZILIAN BOA I was giving her for the trade I held the neonate in my hand and she nip me like 2-3 in a minute. Yall should have seen the scared look on her face lol, so this should tell yall that the rest of her 11snakes must have been super docile as babies. I'll show pictures soon she so small which means her nips won't draw blood for another few sheds lol or just a good bite in the right spot which ever comes first haha.

my question is if she was afraid of a snake in less than a week then y would u trade her another snake? it seems to me that you are not addressing the problem of research research research but unloading another burden on her in return for your own benefit

I guess you didn't clearly read what the problem was.

The issue was that she brought a *species of snake and didn't research the fact that as babies these snakes have a tendency to be very nippy.

She got the snake at a reptile expo and it was nipping her there. She thought the snake wouldn't bite her as often as it did. Even though the snake didn't break the skin she couldn't accept the fact that it nipped so often.

I don't know what you know about Brazilian Rainbow boas but after they reach a certain age they don't bite at all (as long as you take proper feeding precautions like you would for all snakes but that's common pet snake sense.) I traded her my subadult/adult Brazilian Rainbow Boa which doesn't bite at all. So actually both of us benefited from this situation.

She has 11 other snakes so she's deep into snakes and she's actually doing well with the snake I gave her for my JCP. The Jungle carpet still nips but she'll stop eventually.

Many snake hobbyist and non hobbyist *will never get over snake bites no matter how much they get bit and no matter how many snakes they have.*

This is because a lot of them don't realize it's more of the SHOCK of seeing a snake bite them than it is the actual bite it's self (this also depends on of you are dealing with 'HOTS' because then the bite is more important than the striking because you have to find out if it was a real bite or a dry one).*

If this snake would have bit her less or not all she'd of kept it.

Also I think if it would have just bit her rather than strike then*bite*she'd of kept it too because when a snake strikes at certain people who aren't experienced with strikers (as opposed to ball pythons/corn snakes) they think twice about keeping it even if it's never bitten them.*

Snakes move with such speed that when my JCPs (I have three including this new one) nip me it STILL makes me jump even though I know*it's coming but the bite it's self I ignore.

So I will remind you that she HAS 11 other snakes so it's just this species that she can't handle by her own words.*And I'm sure I said that in my original post.*

And your arguement wouldve only made sense if I traded her a BIGGER more dangerous snake that bites but that's NOT what I did at all.

the question remains. no matter how many snakes she has. how are u you gonna give her a BRB when you complain of research research research. what research has she done on that snake? as i said previously and it doesnt matter how long your respnse is. you saw an opportunity to get a snake and traded her for your own benefit. basically you got over on her because no matter how many snakes you claim she has she isnt very knowledgable as a whole. you r not helping her in any way by givin her another snake she knws nothing about:embarrassed:

If she didn't ask me any thing past what do I feed her and so on. She must know something about these snakes. And her only issue was the biting. The majority of all snakes brought in a pet store have the exact same care.

A heat mat, hot spot, hide, water dish. All boas have the same general care. So I'm sure she's not gonna have an issue with it at all. Most of the stuff people say you 'need' for some snakes you don't need at all. All of my snakes do well without most of the stuff ppl say you need. Brazilian boas are hardy snakes so they don't need any super strict steadfast rules on care like many tree boas/pythons need.

She knows everything she needs to know.

This ISNT her first snake.

geez kid dont get your panties in a bunch. i know about snakes so u can save all your little tid bits of knowledge for someone else. u should of been telling them to her because if she didnt know anything about a JCP then wht would she know about a BRB. besides the original question i posed was how u were bragging about someone doin research and u give them another snake. and if she has snakes before then y you come on here talking as if she knows nothing and needs research research research? save your replies because it doesnt matter anyway. i for one will not respond
