 i was at the petstore and they had a "reptile leash"! not even for the big ones the small ones. it was for things like geckos and Anoles. i found that pretty amusing. although i actualy thought about buying it for my leopard gecko. but then i decidedi didnt want to have to torture my gecko to get gim into a harness. does anybody use these to give their lizards and such walks around the house? lol

We had one for my iguana when I was little. He loved it, he was the sweetest thing in the world in the house..take him out to sunbathe on the grass, and he would tail whip the heck out of you when you tried to pick him back up. The leashes don't seem like they would work well on a small lizard...even with big ones you have to watch like a hawk to make sure they don't squeeze out of em

My extended family lives in California, and there was a fellow out that way with a massive, friendly, tame male iguana who would take the thing out on a leash and harness to walk all over the neighborhood and boardwalk. It's probably great enrichment for lizards as long as the lizard is calm enough to not panic.

That being said I think they're just an awful idea if they're marketed for little delicate lizards like anoles, which shouldn't really be handled to begin with. I imagine a number of already badly cared for childhood pets will slip their harnesses or get injured panicking while wearing one.

these were not going to fit on an iguana. it was a little leather thing with two holes. the little leather thing was about 2 inches long! crazy stuff

I've seen those before actually, many years ago. i didn't even know they still sold them.

Not really a good idea for smaller lizards....

I had a harness a long time ago for my Chinese water dragon for a little while so I could bring him out and feed him bugs I found. (before learning wild caught is a no-no).
