This is a little unusual for around here. We usually have the blue headed ones. It's about 14" LOA. ???

That's a Chinese Water Dragon(Physignathus cocincinus), a member of the Agamid family, very common in Southeast Asia, including Thailand.

Thanks! That would explain their profuse numbers along the canals and rivers around here.

Okay, thanks! So these truckers are S.E. Asia's version of U.S. western fence lizard it seems.

agreed! Calotes versicolor is my best guess after seeing only one wild adult here in FL.
