My T is arboreal and loves climbing on her glass walls and sometimes on the lid of her glass enclosure, and she also has a cave and a log for her to hide in, but i've been wanting to give her a hammock/another high up spot for her to rest. I've seen no mention of anything that would be good for her, and I know that their claws can get stuck in mesh so I don't want to give her a mesh hammock in case I am away and she gets stuck in it. I was wondering if there are any other material options to give her something like a hammock that won't harm her.

If you're looking for a surface for her to rest on inside the enclosure- I would recommend a slanted piece of cork bark leaned against the wall and fake leaves/vines near the top of the enclosure. If you are replacing the mesh in the lid, perforated acrylic as others have said already.

Acrylic with holes drilled/melted in for ventilation is what most folks do!

For the lid, some places sell pre-fit acrylic replacement lids for brand name terraria

For a hiding spot, some fake plants might make the T feel more secure. Other options are large hollow cork logs placed vertically, and slanted pieces of cork, but what works best depends on the T.

A picture of the T and its enclosure could help.

Knowing what tarantula you have and the enclosure with pictures would help a bit to answer some of your questions. Depending on what enclosure you have that you are wanting to replace the top with won't be a big deal if you have a few tools.
It's worth the investment even if you have to buy a few tools

They don't need a hammock they'll make their own out of webbing.

I do not know what retail stores are in Canada but here any local Home Depot or Lowes carries acrylic.

Buy 1/8 of an inch acrylic sheet. Don't buy their acrylic knife it's a piece of garbage. You can use a utility knife to cut it works great.

You can use a cheap soldering gun to make vent holes. You can use a drill or Dremel as well. I have both but sometimes I just don't feel like going outside to use the Dremel. I have the one that plugs in, not for indoor use.

Whatever you do, do not do what I did. I tried the old mime trick where using my hands I projected the idea that there was a solid lid to the enclosure. The tarantula did not fall for it. Live and learn.
