ANyone out there got a good breeding group of roaches? Try this: get some probiotics, like the powdered stuff from farm stores. Mix it in some water and give to your roaches. Notice any difference?

I just did some reading after this post. Best I can gather is that this "friendly bacteria" is good for digestion and if I recall, baby roaches need the poop from the adults to ingest certain bacteria to digest their own food. So I guess it just makes a very healthy colony.

Did I get that right, Brian? :p

It did to me too until I googled but I guess anyone who isn't sure all they have to do is make an experiental colony with it (I mean, some of you have thousands of roaches anyway) {D

I have offered live fresh kefir grains to my millipedes and in one of the milli enclosures I also keep some B.dubia.

The grains were eaten (as expected) but not as fast as fruits or anything else.

I dunno if Activia is s good. There are probiotic dog treats and even stuff for humans (spendy). I just wanna see if your results match or if mileage varies.
