I am looking for a good source for Repashy Superfoods crested gecko diet. I have found 4 pound bags for around $50 and was wondering if there was anywhere to get it cheaper or if there was another substitute brand that works equally as well.

I have a local supplier that I get it cheaper from but that is what I was paying when I had to buy it on line. And, no, there really isn't anything else that is anywhere near as good for your geckos.

In my (somewhat limited) experience, there's nothing better to feed the geckos. This stuff is great.

That being said, I'm not sure where to buy it cheaper - I still have to order it online. No local suppliers near me.

A great alternative to Repashy is the Crested Gecko Diet by T-Rex. It is a lot easier to get ahold of, and is a completely balanced meal...very similar to the Repashy. The T-Rex stuff tastes like bananas...it's not too bad at all. The main advantage Repashy has is that it comes in greater variety. Other than that, I don't think there is much data leaning one way or the other to say which is truly better in terms of nutrition.

(I actually have not eaten any, but a couple of my friends have...The geckos love it, too.)

The T REX brand is repashy - he just sold to them and they put their label on it - the newer T REX will read repashy -

And i must say, repashy is awesome! I cannot see feeding my CG's anything else! They also have started selling it at PetCo, and they feed all of their CG's repashy... so that is a good thing, especially with such a large chain. Be careful though... the little things of it they sell are way overpriced for what you get, so much cheaper to order online. And also, the flavor they sell is different than the one you buy online. All of my CG's seem to enjoy the rosehips flavor the most. You can also buy several different flavors to add some variety... i dont see the need, and i dont have that much money myself though :)...

Cheers,
Nate

The T-Rex diet is going off the shelves everywhere around here, I picked up like 10 of the at 69 cents a piece. Are they still selling it everywhere else in the US?

Indeed, you can find it at any of your local Pet store & does the trick.
