I spent several evenings last week listening to my somewhat freshly molted B. smithi plucking the screen lid of her tank with her fangs. She managed to make quite a good mess of the lid, and since there was no recess in the lid to put some plexiglass in, I decided to move some of mine around and put her somewhere else.
Of course, I used the event as a photo opportunity.
Here she is in her new home:
Here's a shot of her new home. The more spiders I get, the more simple the setups.
I moved my A. geniculata into the B. smithi's old container.
I upped the substrate in both containers (since the B. smithi thinks she is an acrobat) to safe levels, but the A. geniculata still looks tiny in its new home!
I snapped a new picture of one of my P. murinus while I had the camera out.
