I spent several evenings last week listening to my somewhat freshly molted B. smithi plucking the screen lid of her tank with her fangs. She managed to make quite a good mess of the lid, and since there was no recess in the lid to put some plexiglass in, I decided to move some of mine around and put her somewhere else.

Of course, I used the event as a photo opportunity. :D

Here she is in her new home:

Here's a shot of her new home. The more spiders I get, the more simple the setups.

I moved my A. geniculata into the B. smithi's old container.

I upped the substrate in both containers (since the B. smithi thinks she is an acrobat) to safe levels, but the A. geniculata still looks tiny in its new home! :)

I snapped a new picture of one of my P. murinus while I had the camera out. ;)

Hi
Your pictures, terariums and spiders are very nice and beautifull, but I think: The terarium for A. geniculata is to big for she.

Very nice pics, Becca. That genic will grow into the new tank in no time. :)

I was thinking that intially, but I made the height of the substrate safe (the top of enclosure is pretty much the top of the picture) and the T can find its food without any problems. The tank its in is a 5 gallon, and I'm hoping that it'll be in there for awhile with no problems.

The night I rehoused it, it immediately barricaded itself into the hide and I can no longer see it. :( I checked my records and I'm guessing it's due for a molt within the next 1-3 weeks.

Thanks for the kind comments, everyone!
