I knew H.maculata wasn't a beginner spider when I got her. And I knew they hide alot. Didn't expect for 2 years she would just be hiding the whole time. The last few weeks she's been out. Trying to get a picture is hard because the moment I try, she hides. Today she was out during day light. Seems odd, I'm assuming the tank needs cleaning. But nonetheless I got a picture! I forgot how beautiful she is. 😄😄❤❤ she only let me get one.

Gorgeous!

I got an Ephebopus species pretty early on.
She is the reason I'm hesitant to get a lot of species that stay hidden, more so with fossorials for me.

Molts just get thrown outside overnight. I have no idea when it even happens.
I've only seen the faint tip of her legs once in the last year.
She's been on prekill left at the entrance her whole life cause I dunno what's happening down there.

My T's are in my reptile room/office. I game alot in there and being in the same room I take breaks and look in at my animals. I know she's been out. But in 2 years I probably seen her briefly a maximum of 8 or 9 times. 99% I just see the tip of a leg. She doesn't usually hangout like that. Most of the time when there is movement in the room she dives for cover 😅
