Just so we are clear, we are talking about native Narceus americanus and Stenopelmatus sp.
I caught 2 of each today, and the JCs were really nice and big, pushing 2".
To make a long story short, I had them all in the same jar for about 10 mins, and the lid was on at least for 1/2 that.
So the JCs have been dying a slow death all day, and still convulse a little even now.
I did try washing them off as best I could, but whatever that stuff from the pedes is, its potent $h1t!
I wont toss them yet, as ya just never know what bugs can stand . . .
And I certainly wont mix pedes with anything else in the future, I really had no idea that stuff could kill a hardy bug like a JC.
Here it is, its all convulsed and tightened up, I dont even know if its really even alive or its just nerves.
