ive seen hissing roaches kept on cypress mulch, but the natural colored kind.is the red cypress mulch dangerous for roaches?is that an actualle dye on the wood?
aspen isnt dangerous to inverts, it is a hard wood not a soft wood, so there are no harmful oils, but i know soft woods like cedar and pine are harmful to inverts. i keep some roaches on aspen and it works just fine.I know that some mulches are made out of aspen, which is dangerous to inverts, and there might be chemicals in colored mulches. I would say not to use it.
