Old Timer

I rescued this beautiful guy from my daughter's kiddy pool. He was about an 1 inch long and a wonderful red color. His head was small and black and fuzzy. I am sorry I didn't get a better picture but I had a very determined 3 year old demanding "her butterfly". He/she dried out nicely on my tree and I made sure no bird or kids got to him.
Oh, if it helps I live in Anchorage, Alaska...
Any ideas?
