I love little puppies that size, they look like hippos with fur!!!!! A boy, huh? What is his personality like? Maybe you could find a name that suits him. For instance, I'm a horror movie buff, and we have an undersized little American Staffordshire terrier. He has a deformed front leg, and is always bugging people to pet him. So his name is Igor. He is little, deformed, and annoying. It fit. LOL Don't get the wrong idea, I love my boy.

Awww, what a cute face! Guess he is going to be closer in size to a Jack Russell. It will be interesting to see how he looks as he grows up. I love to bi-colors! Hope his mamma is back to running around and happy by now.

She is :) she was actually raring to go when she got back from the vet, had to keep her activity down and also get her to focus she is a bit of a wired pooch. And finally the little one opened his eyes, i cant wait to see what develops.

Thats great to hear about the Mom! Dogs have an amazing ability to stand pain. We had an Eng. pointer that ran like crazy and climbed fences. She tore her side open in a slit about 7 inches or so long. It was gaping open, yet she showed no sense of pain with me looking at it and the vet. She was stitched up, and then we were supposed to keep her from running and jumping to keep the stitches from tearing open. That was the hardest thing we ever did, but it did heal just fine. You didn't say, is he the only puppy she had, or did she have others that didn't survive?

Well the reason the vet said for the emergency c-section was that only one embryo even started so since only one puppy was in there he got all the nutrients and grew to monster proportions, when he showed us the x-ray it looked like she had swallowed a smaller dog. It was crazy, had there been more puppies we probably would not have needed the surgery.
