rat for BP has some sort of mites... is that ok?

I've got a small rat for my ball python, and I noticed it has little mite things on it, I don't know if I should go ahead and feed it to the snake or what.

help please.

Definitely not. Kill the rat, freeze it and feed it to the snake in a couple of days. The freezing process should kill any parasites on the rodent.
