Well, all the N. clavata died... but I'm getting A. aurantia slings and I'll collect an A. argentata when I get a chance, so I'll have all 3 SoCal Argiope species freeranging in here.

Sorry, I didn't keep the cup. I haven't successfully mated her or any other widows, but I'm pretty sure she's not mature just based on size.

hmmm... almost looks old enough... she's cute. You think she has another molt? Markings look solid (no outlines) ...suppose, she'll molt and her dorsal line will split up even more..

Did I give you a gravid adult? Cant remember. :?

Well, all I'm comparing her with is geos and hesps, but I do feed the widows very infrequently... you know a lot more about these than I do.

when she's just hanging in the normal position the legspan is less than an inch.
