I waited a bit long to move my OBT. It started getting restless, so now it's sitting in a lush 10x10 herpcult. That T is rising in the ranks of my top 10 list. Such an interesting sp to observe and blown away by that orange. I moved my Chordatus into a 10x10, and on to my Harpactiras tomorrow. And so on and so on. It doesn't get old.

That's one thing I can say I love so much about my tarantulas. You can't exhaust the possibilities of what tomorrow brings. There's always work to be done. Always landscapes to build, rehousing, feeding, cleaning, studying, observing. Very rewarding to say the least.

I'm thankful for AB (truly) This is a great outlet and you all are a great bunch. I've learned alot here. I feel about my T's very similar to how I feel when I hike a mountain. You wish you could share the beauty of what your witnessing with someone else who gets it. Most people don't get it, but you all do. So all of you are cool in my book.

To any one new or doesn't have all the answers. You're not alone, either do I. But, a wise man once told me. "He who humbles himself will be exalted."

Indeed. It's good to have a medium for advice and answers from experienced keepers and/or prevent possible mistakes.

now this is gonna sound weird but my first T was a rescued AF P. murinus (on bad substrate) so I lurked on the forum and did searches because I knew "Hey, I got my first T and it's an OBT..." would fly like a lead balloon. I gleaned enough info for a successful rehouse and she lived a long and healthy life. I really miss her,
for many of the same reasons you state above. For those who are up late OBTs provide quality late night entertainment. Agnes, you were my first and I am so glad. Rest in peace girl.
How I got her, or horrid substrate and she was none too happy
after her rehouse

unknown as she was an adult when we rescued her. We had her probably 6-7 years and she may have been 6-7 when we got her/

yes, she does, and she was. She had a burrow under the log. Much of the time you just saw her toe tips, but she was glorious when she came out
