aww, so precious! I want one!
I want to breed rabbits someday when I've got the space to do it. Lionheads are my favorite breed, I own two and a half (see mutt in avatar), but they are all fixed, so no babies.
Congrats on your little ones! Momma is gorgeous, I love those big ears!
They're doing great so far. They're growing faster than her first litter did, they've got their eyes open and are wandering around the nest box on their own locomotion.
They're also heartier than the first litter, which may just be a product of the season they were born in. Her first litter was born in mid-July while it was hotter than heck out. I hadn't anticipated the litter as her hutchmate for a few days till I got another hutch repaired was female, or so I thought.
It's been sub-zero the past few days here and I didn't want to clean the nest box portion of the hutch out for fear of chilling the babies. But since the mother insists on pottying IN the nestbox side, the babies' fur got a bit soiled. I cleaned it out today since it was in the 50's, so hopefully tomorrow she'll have had time to clean them off well enough for a picture.
