Woolybear was a m. male g.rosa who passed after what I hope was a good life. I mated 4 times with my female though I am still waiting on a sac. He death was for me frustrating but I knew this would hapen at some time. He has yet to be burried due to the weather. He will always be remembered and will be missed.

Sorry to hear about that. Next to watching one get eaten by it's mate this has to be the worst feeling. They can be like an extened family. Sounds weird because I smirk at people who treat dogs and cats like family but I think these types of pets are in a different class all together.

Any living entity that depends on you for it's quality of life is a family member. I am so sorry for your loss, Dear....It sounds like he had a very good 'parent'; since it has broken your heart so obviously. :(
Our warmest thoughts go with you and hope for your impending grand-spiders, as well.

Maybe explains why you don't have a sac yet....:D

Sorry had to comment....

But in all seriousness, you had a male and mated him 4 times. For a Ts life, in the wild or in captivity that's awesome. You gave him all the great things a male G. Rosea could've ever hoped for. You should be very proud. I would be.

Plus lots of offspring to carry on his name!

I'm so sorry for you loss!!!!!! *big hug* Be patient, if your female is indeed gravid it could take a while before you see anything. Rose hair tarantulas are very slow at doing everything, including laying eggs.
