Hi, it’s been a while since I’ve been on, forgot I had an account here. I recently caught a phiddipus sp jumping spider in the wild and am keeping it in a 6x8x14 inch enclosure, but I worry this may be too large. I have another smaller enclosure on the way, but if this is too big, will the spider be okay for a few days?

6x8x14 what? CM? IN? FT?

6 wide, 8 deep, 14 tall?

I'm assuming INCHES. In which case that size is fine.

No worries was just being a bit sarcastic with the FEET part.

You can go smaller or bigger but you don't need to. That footprint is fine as they do not really need too much space

Unlike sit-and-wait ambush predators (most T's), jumpers are visual hunters and have no problem roaming larger enclosures to find prey. You might not see it much in a big enclosure, but it won't be detrimental for the jumper in the least.
