Don't go by a set time.. Check the spider at one minute intervals, use a brush to see the attitude.

Don't forget that there '15 minutes' are under totally different conditions, not to mention the species etc etc will effect it

I put her in at 9:05 a.m., took her until 10:30 to calm down enough to treat her, and even THEN she was wiggling a bit!! My h. lividium only took 30 minutes to go totally sleepy!! So, in the future, for a 9" T, it looks like 1 1/2 to 1 hour 45 minutes is the starting point for relaxation.

I put a tiny little strip of toilet tissue around the wound, letting they hemolymph "seal" it as a bandage. I'm reluctant to use SuperGlue or NuSkin on a joint injury... so we will see how the tissue experiment goes.

I will obviously have to restrict movement for a few days, so rather large i.c.u. in the making!

Thanks guys... this is the LARGEST T I've ever OWNED, let alone treated! A little bit nervous on this one!;)

Now 12:37 pm. The bleeding stopped immediately upon toilet paper bandaging. It worked! It was dropping one drop about every 15 minutes... pretty fast for a T! Now, without the SuperGlue or NuSkin, I will not have to worry next molt. Toilet tissue being what it is, will come right off with the molt. Whew! Hope someone can use this next time they have a bleeding joint!
