This is a question for you experienced Bearded dragon keepers. Here we go... Last week I adopted a male and female, Both 18 months old, I'm a bit concerned because today we gave Dude & Missy a bath. I pull the plug for the water to drain and missy had a poo & Wee just as the last of the water was going. The poo was normal but a noticed a speck of blood on the bath mat. I don't think it came from her bum hole, I reckon it came from her Virgina (I don't know what it's called for a Beardie?, hehe) Now this is gonna sound really stupid, but do females have periods once matured? The male seems keen but she just looks the other way and tells him "your be lucky!". Or could this be a medical problem?. She seems fine, looks very healthy. I would really appreciate some help.

Dragons WILL pee and poo in their water. That is why it is recommended to give them a good soak once a day rather than putting a water dish in their cage, since they will just mess it up and defecate in it.
The "vent" area are one in the same, they dont have 2 openings like we do, lol. It'll come out the same area. So what you witnessed was perfectly normal...nothing to worry about :)

Lol, I know, i'm stupid, lol. I was just a worried Beardie mum. I have 5 of them but i've never seen this before. And yes i know, Virgina! hehe. Instead of a vent we could call it something like a virginaBum? lady-bit? uh? i dunno? lol.

What kind of substrate are they on? its possible she ate some and its cutting up her insides. Blood in the feces isn't normal at all. Best to seperate the dragons until you know what is going on with her.
