Question about Hypoaspis miles

If I order 7,500 of these little things, 1: Is that too many for a 10 gallon tank that has 3 millipedes in it? 2: What if the mites get on my carpet/dog/cat/sugar glider...anything other than where they need to be? Will I have a massive problem of mites in my house?

7500 1/2 liter is the smallest you can get. Maybe share with someone. As far as I know from talking with them, they only eat the eggs and larve of the pests. if that is not around I understand the will eat other debris (plant matter,alge) if that is not around they will die off. no threat to any thing else in the house. I ordered half a liter and it covered about 35 5.5 gallon tanks. I have none of them left and I have never seen them outside of any cages or on the floor. Hope this helps.

Do you have any other invertebrates? No harm in treating other cages as well. If no pest mites are present, the predatories will die off. If some are present, they'll eat the pests and THEN die off.
