Question about Habba Hut

I recently bought a Habba Hut Large for my 40 gallon tank that I keep my emperor in, so as to provide him with more optional hiding spots, currently have 5 in the habitat.

My question is, I noticed the Hut is starting to throw out roots and I have seen sap slowly come out of one side.
I'm not sure what wood this one is, I've seen a few different answers from Cedar to Pine, but read these woods as the fumes from the sap can be toxic to reptiles.

Would this also be toxic to emperors? I can't find a straight answer on google regarding this.

ZooMed's HabbaHuts are made from Fir, and from what I've read the sap is mainly water and sugar and minerals and its main function is to get those things to other parts of the tree, I would say its totally fine but if you see the scorp start to eat or pick at it then move them away or just remove the sap. I'm absolutely not an expert on this but it seems all of the half-wing insects use sap as their primary diet, and I can't find anything saying that sap is dangerous to any scorps.

In the UK these things are super expensive. Cork bark is cheaper and A LOT better. IMO
