Anyone have any input I have a female fishing spider she matured about a month or so ago she dropped her 1st ghost sac . I have a male that's just about mature .

I want to breed them my concern is if she drops another sac or 2 she won't make it long enough to breed.

So I gave her a couple meals to rehydrate her and get her energy back up.

I put her in a real cool area maybe about 45 degrees hoping it will slow her down because they usually drop another sac few weeks after they discard the old one.

Will this work possibly keeping her cool almost dormant until male is ready?

Are they really that short lived? I would think you have some time if she just matured, like with wolf spiders but I'm not sure. Which species?

Could let her mess around with the ghost sac too if she will.. that should keep her occupied for awhile and maybe she'll eat it eventually and plump right back up.
