Hi all,
I just received 4 xArgiope bruennichi last night. One was DOA leaving me with three and as they are all huge with varying sized abdomen I assume they are all female.
So, I wake up today to find the biggest one has already constructed what I assume to be an egg sac.
So to my question:
-Have I been really lucky and she was a fully loaded female?
-Could it be an empty sac? It is fully enclosed so I can't tell.
-Do Argiope bruennichi make these without every mating?
I have emailed the supplier to see if there is any hope that the sac is good. I have no idea if she has been in contact with a male.
Cheers,
Glen
