I have three roach colonies (Dubias, discoids, and B. lat) and I find that my inverts (tarantulas mostly, but also scorps and 'pedes) won't always take them when I offer them. So I was thinking of trying something with a much more voracious appetite. Something not that different from a T (a pet rock that bites everything). A Pyxie came to mind. It will be the first time ever I dug into herps. Am I ready for one of these gluttons of amphibians? I know how big the males of P. adspersus (the most common species from I've seen) can get...

With reptiles and Herps, you really have to learn to keep the tanks a certain degree and humidity. This usually takes a bit depending on your home and location temps.

If you're getting a Pyxie, I must say that they eat A LOT. If your colonies are not self sustaining they WILL put a dent in them. I would recommend getting a pacman first, but you can go with a pyxie.

If you want ANY info on these guys go here, the best frog forum hands down: http://fatfrogs.7.forumer.com/
