I'm getting some of these soon to use as feeder roaches. As far as I can tell from care I just offer them deep substrate for them to live in then feed them/water them as I would with other roaches.

Any tips or care or things to look out for? Also, if they escape are they likely to infest (in the UK, not the US :) )

Cheers  :liar:    :worship:

You can keep them in the same way as Nauphoeta cinerea, except they need highier humidity. You'll get only females. Probably almost all P. surinamensis roaches in Europe and US use parthenogenesis.
Yes, they can infest your house and they are very good glass-climbers.

We had problem with that specie while I was working in Warsaw Zoo. There was no flower pots and dirt in that building, but you are probably right, temperature and humidity was highier than normal. But you should be always very carefull with every roach specie.

They are in a small tub atm, I've made air holes with a heated needle so they are really small. i've sat the tub in a water bath, so if any want to escape they're going to have to swim out :D They seem like decent feeders, they're nice and small and they don't wait at the top to escape :D
