Yeah, man.... especially when you've got a vision for the end result. It IS like a puzzle trying to find all the pieces to fit the dream, LoL

I don’t use rocks for tarantulas after having ones hurt themselves on them. But for scorpions I’d understand. Make sure to post pics of your finished cages. :pics:

Yeah I don't really do tarantulas. I did years ago oh my gosh but yeah I learned real quick that t's those don't need much and it's all going to get covered anyway so might as well just give them space lol. Of course we gave space to one and it ended up in the house which is why we don't do tarantulas anymore😶🤣jk. I'm a scorpion guy really.

Yeah it's like I took a break every 10 minutes to try to reset my mind because where I'm at now I don't have the luxury just going out and finding rocks I literally have to drive for miles. Everything's pastures. So then it looks like another rock hunt for tomorrow lol. Gosh at the Scorpions only knew. Truly seems to bring out the little kid in me trying to find all the cool little tiny shaped pieces of wood and flat rocks gosh you know it's crazy stuff.

The thought of super glue crossed my mind, not sure about voic's, was about to break out the Loctite red LOL, just went the old-fashioned route with packing mud in between everything hoping it doesn't get disturbed. I think I'll be going and getting a hot glue gun. Thank you.

So I'm done using horrible rocks and playing Captain nature lol. I found something created enough balance and the visible rocks are just the top part of sort of bridges if you will.
Might be big at 6 x 8 for i2-3 Hotts and Andros. We'll see 🙏🤞. Prayers and hopes the 1 andro, on the right, doesnt lost under there.

Placed rocks, packed with damp soil, cover and packed down, with damp soil. Heated while covered for balancing moisture, helps solidify the rock dust/soil, and one dry, added sling, and ...now I have pet dirt.

Cheers.

Back to lurking.

Your better off using expanding foam it won't melt when the viv gets warm hot glue will . Foam will take longer to set but is much safer n stronger in the long run.

I’ve never had a baby scorpion I’d think they are harder to care for than a baby tarantula. I read about desert hairy molt issues too. Scared me away from getting one.

so I would do that on the larger vivarium which I have in the living room well which is planned for a colony of ts, I could post pictures maybe there's a video on YouTube someplace but anyways yeah expanding phone man great stuff. Except I use the puns though it's black. It doesn't break down once the sealed is broken on the surface like the great stuff does. The great stuff I found that I have to cut the open porous surface with silicone otherwise it will break down into a mocha of such hard to explain.
