My little 1.5 inch G pulchra went into premolt about a week ago. Didn't expect a molt this early!
I woke up this morning at around 5 am and couldn't sleep, so I decided to take a gander at my pulchra, and lo and behold, he was on his side, molting!
Of course, I took many photos with my crappy camera, and stayed up to watch the whole process, which took about an hour(talk about good timing!).
Sequence:
Everything went well!
But... I do have a question. I read here that there is a look-alike, Grammostola sp. "formosa" which looks almost like a pulchra, but with many white hairs. Does it look like I have a formosa...?
