Pterinopelma sazima care requirements

Hi All,

Just wondering what you personal care setup is for these guys. Probably getting one this week (couldn't resist) and want to make sure I have the sub setup right. I've read conflicting reports...some say they need a semi-damp sub and others saying they prefer dry. Experiences?

Not sure about these particular t's, though I would moisten half the sub and keep the other half dry and see which one it prefers. Maybe add a hide on both sides. I have read that these are a higher elevation t, so don't keep it too warm and you should be fine. Good luck with your new t!

I have those, i keep them semi damp sub. And a water dish. easy to care for, they are good eaters too.

You have everything over there in your house What's their disposition like, I've read they are like B. boehmei , also the few videos I've seen of them show adult colors ranging from dull blue, almost blue gray, to that bright blue often shown in pics

Haaha, no i dont They are fast runners thats for sure but they are not so big just yet, i cant wait for them to grow up. The pics i`ve seen of the adults are just dazzling. Peeewwwweeeehhh.

Whoa I haven't seen that in any of the videos w/adults, nor heard of their speed at that level. I thought they were Brachy fast

They aren't that different from a "Genic" care IMO. Not bone dry, not too wet substrate; hide, fake leaves if you want, water dish, half of substrate moist, done.
