This is my Sun Conure "Pancho"...and THIS is an O-B-T

Yeah but looks can be deceiving! Whoever is not "bonded" to him better watch their fingers and ears!!!!That is the most lovley looking bird I have ever ever seen!!
I love that! He's not my bird, I'm his human.
I love that!
And yeah this guy, for reasons I do not know, cannot stand women (except for my mother).
one of our cockatiels flirts with the dogwe have a yellow headed amazon that hates all men but loves everyone else even the cat..weird the way things work
I've handled a hyacinth/blue & gold macaw mix for about 13 yrs. that's bonded to me, and it's been funny watching him chase off the men in my life (imagine a big blue chicken with a HUGE wingspan and 800 psi in his beak waddling along the floor after you!) over the years!Ya my parents have a sun conure. If my wife is holding him, I had better not go near her. He has latched onto my ear over her, but any other time we're the best of friends.
I might also want to add this sentiment about birds... if I'm not his momma, I'm his girlfriend. He's not my bird, I'm his human.
LOL. its true. We're fairly sure my dad's lesser jardines parrot thinks my dads his mateI might also want to add this sentiment about birds... if I'm not his momma, I'm his girlfriend.
To the OP, beautiful conure!!!
I'll bet lol and I agree, LOBT. This thing can really make some noise! We have a Jenday, two Sundays and a Sun at work that all make a lot of noise right before closing time everyday. That plus the shreeeeeeeeeek of an Eclectus really makes my day wonderful.shouldn't it be LOBT?
LOUD orange bitey thing? i had a jenday AND a sun a few years ago..those two screaming at the same time could make someones ears bleed..lol.
This little guy bonded to me from the get go. He was gentle as a baby, but then he discovered the strength of his beak. Most of the time he nails me is when he's hungry or just playing. I have noticed the same thing you mention above though, my mother who he *hated* at first decided she was no longer going to put up with him (my mother is super tough) and after taking a few hard bites they are the best of buddies now.Well i adopted one and it was almost just like an OBT it took me over 4 months to gains it trust and after several bits where he made me bleed he got use to me and is trained and staple again. he knows step up which i do not have to go around and try to catch him and he knows several phrases like I love, F-U, and some spanish words know i have african grey that i am working on an adopted african grey
