I was reading about arachnids on the wiki and I came across a new category of arachnids I've never even knew existed and they look pretty awesome, I'm surprised no one ever talks about these guys.

I thought you guys might find this interesting.

Yeah Pseudoscorpiones is an awesome order and pretty easy to keep, but just wait till you learn about Schizomida, Palpigrades, and Ricinulei!! Have fun checking out those orders, they get very little attention, totally undeserved though!

All of the minor arachnid orders are absolutely fascinating, it’s a shame almost nobody gives them attention. There’s so much we don’t know about them even now!

found one on my desk on the second floor of home- what a trek!!!
I've found them hitchhiking on, somehow, house flies, they've got their own invertebrate version of public transport that gets them to all sorts of places

Harvestmen (Opiliones) are another arachnid group I'm working on at the moment in Australia that barely gets any hobby attention at all. In fact, until I started asking people to help me acquire some, there were no species available to purchase pretty much anywhere in Australia despite how common they are. They are fascinating animals with lots of quirky behaviours that make them incredibly entertaining to keep when setup correctly.

It always astounds me the variety of forms and behaviors a lot of these arachnids have, I adore your gangly aussie species. I remember a documentary about Opiliones recording male nest building and egg guarding behavior, I mean how incredible is that!

My order of choice is Amblypygi, but thankfully they’ve been gaining a little more attention these days. People just don’t realize the diversity out there to rival the more traditionally “charismatic” Theraphosids and true spiders.

I love pseudoscorpions! I was able to identify a super common native one using a microscope. I’ve been looking like crazy for another species so I can identify since there is not much info on them but they are hard to find!
