Hello all, just want to let everyone know that Mardonius parilis acuticonus was (relatively) recently synonymized with Spiropoeus fischeri.
What does this mean? It means that the the term "MPA" (short for Mardonius parilis acuticonus) and the name for which it stands is no longer valid. I guess you could say "SF" instead of "MPA" if you really want to have an acronym, but without such a long name the need for an acronym becomes redundant...
See Millibase for more information.
Despite the name change a lot of people still use the name M. p. acuticonus, so I just wanted to put this out here to inform those unfamiliar with the change.
Thanks,
Arthroverts
