I've had about 50 dubia for about three weeks. I read that the ratio between male and female needed to be different. I fed off about 6 males. I have provided them with hiding spaces, fresh cucumbers and oranges for liquid and a mix of rabbit pellets, iguana food, dog food and fish food to eat. I check on them about twice a week to see if they need more food. There is a CD sized vent covered with wire mesh on the top. Directly above this i use a 60 watt ceramic heating element to raise the temp. My question is this, why haven't they started breeding yet？

They havestarted breeding, their gestation period is about a month so it will be at least 4 weeks before you see babies. Then it will take 3-4 months for those babies to hit adulthood and another month for babies from those.
How many adult females do you have? Adult males? The ratio doesn't "need" to be different, but you really only need one male for 3-4 females.
You want to be careful about how often you "check" on them, disturbing them frequently could cause them to abort or slow down the breeding process. Your enclosure sounds good, what kind of hiding spaces?

It takes couple of months. 3 months or so. Be patient.

I am planning on creating a feeder colony of Dubias, what is the correct ratio of male/female? and what roughly are the sizes they achieve?(ie, from baby to adult)
