Well I thought I would post a full progression of pictures towards a molt for everyone who doesn't quite understand what a darkening T looks like.

Here goes starting with day after photos:

A week later:

3 weeks post molt:

5 weeks post molt:

Wish I could've done a week by week encounter however we moved at the end of last month and it was a very busy time. Hope this helps clear up what it means when someone says your T will darken.

Yes I am anticipating a molt any day. I have had 5 molts this past week and this one would be the best:drool: I just love the looks of it.

Little fat dont you think
Do you have access to a chart showing the range of healthy weights/sizes for various tarantulas? Unless you do I think it's really just a matter of personal preference how large someone lets their tarantula get.

Nice pics! :)

Beautiful T! What Ssp is it? Please take pics after the molt!
I will put it this way lol if you buy one titled Homeomma sp. large you should end up with the same tarantula, there has been some stellar debates as to what it actually is or what it actually will be when it is finally described.

It definitely is one of the most photogenic tarantula's. I have probably taken (without embellishing) 50 shots of this one whereas I've taken around 15 of the others.
