I have an adult black widow and I know someday she will die, when that happens I want to preserve her but I don't know how

I ve thought about pinning her and filling her body with ethanol but I don't know if it would be better to just letting her in a jar with ethanol, I have no experience in this field

Any thoughts?
Also, if I keep her in the jar, can it be in a room temperature or should I put her in the freezer forever?

Just put it in a small jar, or vial, with alcohol and you will be good to go. It will keep just fine at room temperature. There is no special tricks or techniques to it.

And for the record, you can’t pin something and fill its body with alcohol as if you were embalming it or something. You either need to pin it and let it dry or put the whole body in alcohol.

Yeah the jar is the way to go. These aren’t easy to dry and stuff like other spiders. Their abdomens are super thin “skinned” and very round, extremely difficult to stuff.
