Anyone know how to do so? I awoke this morning to find my solifugid dead after a mere month. It ate 3-4 crickets daily but noticeably it's abdomen shrunk over time. Alcohol, formaldehyde?
I tried, it would only eat crickets and just raise up and "click" and any other prey item introduced. I think it was just at the end of it's life when I got it. It wasn't aggressive when I got it, and slowed as time passed. I will try the alcoholHorrido said:Oh...I'm sorry to hear that.
Yeah, stick it in a babyfood jar (or some other well-sealed conatiner) with 70% ethyl alcohol, often found at drug stores. Isopropyl alcohol will also work as a temporary fix.
Trying to think of what could have been done to keep it alive. Pinks? More diverse diet of arthropods?
Yeah, mine gave up the ghost after a month too. He would actually run away from the crickets. It was embarassing.NYbirdEater said:I tried, it would only eat crickets and just raise up and "click" and any other prey item introduced. I think it was just at the end of it's life when I got it.
