I have a 1 1/2" B. Albo sling that is in premolt. I noticed that his substrate at the very bottom of his tunnel is growing mold (due to uneaten parts of a mealworm). The only way for me to get the mold is to totally change the substrate. I figure he should molt any day now. I am worried about the mold, but I am unsure whether to disturb him since he is so close to molting. What would you guys do? Or suggest?

My reasoning says change it anyway, but I don't want to stress him.

If it was my T, I'd prepare a new (moist) enclosure first, then EVER-SO-GENTLY lift her out of the old and into the new. My curlies are all so docile that there wouldn't be a struggle of any sort. Mold kinda scares me. (Sorry Code Monkey... I worry about their little book lungs, plus it's just plain gross!)

BTW: COOL dog!
