I just checked on my B. Emilia sling and it is a lot darker in color than what it was a week ago. Could that be a sign it is in pre molt? I mean last week, only the little black spot on the rump was black. now the whole thing is dark brown and most of the rump is black instead of the little spot. it's legs are even a lot darker. I sure hope it is in pre molt. I want to see it molt so it gets bigger.

Sounds like a pre molt situation. How big is your sling and has it molted for you before? When did it last eat? When they are little they can molt quickly. Keep an eye on it. Rich

It is .75" and I got it 12-17-09. It has not molted in my care. I last attempted to feed it on 1-7-10, but am not sure if it ate because I later realized the pinhead crickets were escaping through the tiny vent holes. So I will get the next size up in crickets next time.
