My mature male Avic. avic. molted again so now he's a neuter. He lost a leg and the others are freakishly long. He's also moving pretty slow but thats to be expected. Anyway I took a pic of the pedipalps on the exuvium if anyone is interested I thought I'd post it. Its the best I could do with my camera.

Killer pic dude, it's sad that he's deformed. Days are numbered I guess.

wow....
I have heard that they almost always lose both palps in a post ultimate molt. Are his other legs fairly deformed as well?

I guess I got skimmeritis the first time I read this.. did his palps actually molt out normally? If so, could you take a picture, I'd like to see what a post-ultimate male's palps look like. Considering giving it a try breeding-wise? IF it has all the machinery.. why shouldn't it be able to do it?

Sorry I wasn't clear or for any misunderstanding. He lost both palps and one of his legs. The pic I took of the palps were of the molt not the actual tarantula. I wouldn't attempt to get a T on its back and stay there for me to take a pic. Here's of pic of the whole tarantula. I didn't want to mess with him too much yesterday. He's weak, uncoordinated and really slow but did try to make a run for it while I was taking this pic.
