Portia fimbriata care tips?

I'm thinking of buying a portia spider or two (they're like 40 bucks each for a juvie so I'm arguing with myself about buying one) and seeing as I've never kept these I was wondering if anybody out here who's experienced in jumping spiders has any tips. Enclosure, breeding, feeding, etc.

PS- I'm new to posting on arachnoboards so please don't verbally crucify me if I've posted this wrong or done something bad by accident

Also I have kept jumping spiders before, just not these, and Portia always amazed me

Welcome to the boards! Biggest issue I can see you having is that they feed pretty much exclusively on other spiders, so unless you have a good supply of those then that might be a tough species to keep.

Yeah I thought about that but the breeder sells venom less spiders as feeders, I also have plenty of a similar spider that lives all over my garden. Would care aside from feeding be similar to other jumpers?

You could rear cellar spiders as food, they are abundant at my home.

I'd be careful with anything from outside since they may be contaminated with pesticides or parasites. Same with the ones in your house unless you don't do any sort of pest control (other than letting the spiders live of course). As far as I know it's similar to what other jumpers need, though I admit I don't know their humidity requirements.

I neve use any pesticides at all, my parents have three chickens which do that for us. I have considered raising some house spider hatchlings to feed to the portia though, it shouldn't be too hard

Cellar spiders don't lay many eggs a form of theridiid like a false widow or something they lay loads of eggs. House spiders are quite slow to mature unlike cellar spiders so maybe you would need a lot of crickets and fruit flies so good luck
