Hello everyone, new here!

So I have/had a dozen porcellio sevilla for the better part of a year. Never ended up getting any babies. They were kept on a mix of coco fiber, sphagnum moss, oak leaves, orchid bark, and isopod substrate. They had cork bark to hide under. I also left cuttlebone in for them and fed carrots, seeds, veggies, occasional dead roach, etc. I left the lid off for ventilation and misted/watered the mossy section about once every week or so when it got dry. The bin was about 15" x 13". One day I watered them and over the course of a week or two, they all died off down to 1 female... I had been doing this for a while with no problems, they seemed healthy and regularly grew in size.

Really confused about this, would appreciate any input. Thank you

Following this thread, I've got six species of isopods, and these are the only ones I have without a million babies roaming around.

I'm wondering if I'm keeping mine too moist and if that is the issue.

I keep mine quite deep with a slightly deep corner. Started with 12 adults, now have maybe 200 young

As far as Spanish Porcellio go, sp. Sevilla has been the easiest and most prolific one I keep. Mostly dry bin withl moist end, screen lid, bark and wood for hides and leaf litter.
