The first crested gecko I've ever got seems to be ill. The only symptom i can describe is shes not sticking to anything and is very lazy. At night she isn't active at all. All of the others i keep in the same area seem to be fine, not showing these symptoms. She has laid to clutches of unfertile eggs and I've never bred her yet. I keep her in an enclosure with another female that is a bit overcrowded, I have since moved them into a larger enclosure. Any idea of what the problem may be would be greatly appreciated.

If you think it's ill, then you shouldn't have it near ANYTHING else, not to mention having a healthy animal in the SAME enclosure with a sick on. So you better quaranteen BOTH as the other could now have the same sickness if it is sick, Also how long have you had her? if she came from a LPS or breeder, she could have been with a male and have fertile eggs. As for not sticking to the walls, that doesn't mean it's sick, When I got my first two, one wasn't able to climb the glass because the idiots at the LPS had the wrong temps/humidity and they weren't able to shed right and the old shed was stuck to his feet. After a few days in the correct enviroment it came off and up the glass it went.

Unless she is losing weight I don't think you have much to worry about yet. All of mine have a short period here and there where they are not able to climb well and that is always the last few days before a shed. Keep the humidity up and wait is my suggestion.

Do you have a gram scale? If so you should monitor her weight as well. Weight loss is the biggest indication that something is going on.

I've had her since she was a hatchling and that was 3 years ago. From what I've read when they reach maturity, female will lay unfertile egg (usually no more than once). She has done this twice and no males where anywhere near her. I was thinking it could be some sort of a "calcium crash" but it was a while ago that she laid those eggs. I'll take the advice and quarantine her and also keep her extra humid in case shes shedding. Its just gonna suck really bad if she dies, im a little paranoid.

Yah I wouldn't worry if she isn't losing weight. She could possibly be getting ready to shed. Usually mine get all lazy and they don't stick to anything, then they shed and they are back to normal.
