I found a female a couple weeks ago during work. Ended up putting her into a paper bag over night. She laid exactly 50 eggs and in 14 days, they hatched and are now eating oak. I'll update this thread overy other week with new pictures of progress.

50 is a pretty good number. If you get about 30 adults you'll have done very well. I warn you you will need a much larger enclosure soon. I basically put my my leaves into a pot in a big cardboard box that was open. The major disadvantage is I lost some cats to wandering away and drying up in the most random places...and I had to regularly look around the room and find them!

can i make a suggestion? while thsoe catapillers are still so small put them in liek a deli cup or glad container somethign really small with no holes because they like to wonder around and then move them up to bigger cages as they get bigger
