female P. formosa. also got a male, but he didn't have time for a pic, ran away every time...

Oh heck, I'm totally blind! The male's camouflage makes it! :D Looks like the bark. Very nice... and sorry! :?

stop the clock!

found the female yesterday holding a crisp new cocoon for me! that is a whole 10 days after introducing the male!!

male is still in there with her, she is webbed in.
now i have to cross my fingers for 3 weeks

she must have being full of egg,s when you got her,nice bit of gud fortune :). I had a P.cambridgei drop a sack a week after mating,it does come as a surprise when you see it first.

i would not have placed a male with her if i han known she was mated before.

perhaps a case of very good timing.... let's hope it is a fertile sac!!

Remember, It's not the size of the spider that counts... It's how fast he can run after the deed :)
Too bad with the eggsack. Hopefully better success next time!
