Hey guys...quick questions.

Is Poecilotheria hanumavilasumica still rare in collections? Does anyone have an idea about the cost of a female for example?

Which is more valuable Poecilotheria hanumavilasumica or Poecilotheria smithi?

Thanks

I've seen a seven inch female go easily for 450.....
So that's if you can even get your hands on one....
it wasn't even posted for a few hours and it was sold.....

Good Luck!!!!

This is a subadult female that will end up costing me about 150$ with a large cage :D. And, yes I am sure it is not a fasciata ;). I have also located a male somewhere else for half that price.

I guess the price difference is mostly due to me being in Europe.

Save yourself a huge amount of money and buy a P.fasciata. Then label the tanks P.hanumavilasumica. Trust me, nobody will ever know except you...

You can see the difference in the leg pattern here. The black band on the femur of leg 4 is broken in P. fasciata, where it is solid in P.hanumavilasumica. Certainly isn't enough for me to cough up big bucks for this spider.

If you didn't know what the difference was between the 2, why would you consider spending that much for one?:?

Sure I will but I don't wanna disturb her for photos so I gotta wait when she comes out herself.

We already disturbed her a bit to check for the bands and compare them to a pokie taxonomy book and she is surely Poecilotheria hanumavilasumica. She came with a very nice, large planted terrarium as well. Best deal I got in this T hobby yet.
