Hi, I need to know a Poecilotheria breeder around the Page county zone. My mom will NOT let me ship or have anything shipped to me. She thinks its inhumane for some reason. I love Poecilotherias but there haven't been any at local expos. [Or any OW for that matter.] I would like to get a sling, preferably under $60.

I'm not familiar with your area but IF there is a little locally owned pet shop that does get T's you might ask about an add on or special order. May or may not work, but it's a suggestion that gets around you ordering T's personally. There are some reptile expos in Virginia (usually those have inverts as well), how local to you I have no idea. Most shows have a posted vendor list and many dealer sites will say what shows they will be attending. You might be surprised how friendly and accommodating most dealers are, one might be willing to meet you at I-81 (New Market?) with an order if you can make arrangements to get there.

The shops around here sell animals waaaaaaay to high. I think I've been to all the expos in VA [NARBC in Chantilly, NVA expo and Richmond expo is it right?] and they only have a few NW's. Do you know any breeders here? Even just a website?

Don't forget that were you having something shipped to yourself overnight you'd add $25 to the cost of the critter. In my experience pet store prices aren't necessairily all that steep if you take the lack of shipping into consideration.

Not when they wholesale ship like they do. The ones around me only sell H. lividum slings for $75, which I would never pay for that.
