yeah, now taking a second look (and after waking up from a short nap lol), i can see how it might be male. grrr... i hate sexing H macs, i had about 20-25 juvie H macs a while back, and i tried sexing most of them... and most of them i couldn't! for most of them, i had to wait for a molt

however, though a H mac is hard to sex, i think A versicolors are way harder!

I was leaning towards male too. Whatever you do...DO NOT ATTEMPT TO PINCH GRAB IT IN YOUR HAND!!!!!! I found this out the hard way. Getting a good photo is not worth the weeks of pain!!!

Oh well, atleast males turn out to be quite cute with all that fluffy brown hair!

no don't be bummed if it does end up male! male macs are kinda rare to have around. i'd just buy a few more, only a little bigger, and make sure they are female! :}

I just wanted it to grow up to have that bright white/grey colour to it.

I'll try and get my hands on its next molt and take a pic to re-post for a better chance of an accurate sexing.

If it does turn out to be a male then I guess that I'll just have to get it a girlfriend
