Pls Help stop Rattlesnake Round Ups !!!!

I've never agreed with rattlesnake roundups - it's senseless violence. Rattlesnakes aren't just venomous, they're also a natural part of many ecosystems. The venom collected at roundups is collected in unsterile environments and will never go on to be used in antivenom production. The roundups are just another example of media sensationalism and human cruelty against an innocent, misunderstood animal.

It would be helpful if you provided a link to some sort of petition, or suggested other ways we can get involved. I always try to spread the knowledge of the truth behind roundups when appropriate and when people are willing to listen. I have never, and will never attend one of these "festivals", even though they're held commonly throughout Texas. Nevertheless, neither I nor anyone else can stop them simply by chatting on a forum - action would need to be taken, whether in the form of protests or spreading knowledge to the general public.
