hi ive just acquired a bearded dragon from someone who no longer wanted it,
it became clear within a few seconds of seeing the lizard that it has a problem with its front legs, they are heavily swollen and one has a few cuts on it, however i dont think it is MBD due to the cuts, the fact the previous owner was feeding the beardie veg (with vitamin supplement as he gave me that along with the beardie) and the lizard willingness to walk on the legs. I really hope you can help and give me any advice how to help him, ill post pictures now.
ps I understand seeing pictures of animals in a bad way can make some of you angry, however please remember that this is not my fault and i havent allowed the animal to get to this state and i never would let any animal get like this, i just want to help him, thanks.

i will upload photos shortly

its deffinately MBD, upon further inspection i noticed his uvb/uva bulb is infact just a flourescent tube, therefore giving off no uv rays, can anyone give me any advice until i can get him to a vet either friday or this weekend, other than pick him up a new tube which i will obviously do

i had a rescue iguana that had 2 legs like that and they were both badly broken. You should definitely take it to a vet. Best thing to do for it is put it in an empty bin with a water dish and put a good uvb bulb on it (best to put it outside weather permitting). Also the vet should prescribe liquid calcium and pain meds. I had a infrared thermometer and i took the body temp of him and then the leg and the leg was about 10 degrees warmer. they can definitely bounce back from it tho. My iguana is now very healthy and hateful! took a while tho!

here is a pic. you can see the bad swelling that is simmilar to your guy and the see through bone density:
